Who was Ali Nawaz Memon
Ali Nawaz Memon (1941-2022) was a life member of the Sindhi Association of North America (SANA). He was among the first 25 chartered members of SANA. Until his last breath, Ali Nawaz remained an active member of the organization. The establishment of SANA’s Ali Nawaz Memon Opportunity Loans (SANA-ANMOL) pays tribute to and remembers the life service of Ali Nawaz, whose legacy of giving and sharing filled us all with hope for progress. The Empowerment Fund celebrates his legacy by continuing his work.
Ali Nawaz was born in Shikarpur, and he grew up in Larkana. From a young age, he was known for his kind and compassionate nature, and he spent much of his life helping countless others.
Ali Nawaz came to the United States in 1960, and proceeded to earn his engineering and MBA degrees. He began his career with the World Bank in 1967. He worked in many different countries and in many different capacities on World Bank missions. He also served Pakistan as the Chairman of NEPRA. In addition to his professional pursuits, Ali Nawaz was deeply involved in his community, volunteering his time and resources to help those in need.
Ali Nawaz was always optimistic and looked for the good in others. He cared deeply about the inequitable resource distribution in Sindh, especially concerning those in poverty.
Ali Nawaz will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness and compassion will live on through the work of SANA-ANMOL.

علي نواز ميمڻ (1941ع ـــ 2022ع) جي ياد ۾، سنڌي ايسوسيئشن آف نارٿ آمريڪا (SANA) فخر سان ”سانا علي نواز ميمن آپرچونٽي لونز“ (سانا انمول) پروگرام متعارف ڪرايو آهي. هي قَدم سنڌي ماڻهن جي مالي سهائتا/مدد فراهم ڪرڻ لاءِ وقف آهي ته جيئن اُهي پنهنجي ڪيريئر ۾ ترقي ماڻين. جڏهن ته هن پروگرام جو خاص ڌيان صحت، ووڪيشنل ٽريڊ ۽ انفارميشن ٽيڪنالاجي جهڙن اهم شعبن تي آهي ته جيئن پنهنجي ڪيريئر ۾ اڳتي وڌڻ جي خواهشمند سنڌي ماڻهن کي مالي مدد فراهم ڪري سگهجي. اسان جو مقصد سنڌي پروفيشنلز کي بااختيار بڻائڻ آهي ته جيئن اهي پنهنجن شعبن ۾ ملڪي توڙي عالمي سطح تي بهتري آڻي سگهن. ان کان علاوه، اسان سنڌ اندر ڪاروباري ڪوششن کي فروغ ڏيڻ لاءِ پُرعَزم آهيون

SANA - ANMOL GOALS:
Program's aim is to financially assist motivated Sindhi individuals in advancing their careers, especially in allied health, vocational trade, and information technology professions, advancing their careers both in the domestic and international markets. Additionally, the program supports entrepreneurial efforts in Sindh. Eligible candidates will be selected based on their application form, motivation, personal efforts, financial need, and job/income prospects.
